Directions & Location Information for the Idea Greenhouse

The IGH is located in a new building in the heart of Durham's Central Business District.

Our location is surrounded by over a dozen restaurants and other helpful businesses, and is only a 100 yard walk to the heart of the University of NH campus.

Plenty of parking for the hour or day surrounds our building- see all the parking details below.

Directions to Idea Greenhouse Durham

From Portsmouth/I-95 or points east & south:

Route 4/16 west to Concord

Exit at first Durham exit (Sign says Rt 108/Newmarket)

South on Rt 108 to first set of lights (by Irving Station)

Proceed straight through lights toward Downtown Durham (Now on Main Street)

Coming downhill until Main Street becomes one way; you have to turn right

Just after you turn right, prepare to turn left on to Pettee Brook Lane (see map below)

Park in public lot immediately on left after turning on to Pettee Brook (see parking map below)

From Concord or points west:

Route 4 east toward Portsmouth

After Lee Traffic Circle, get ready to exit in 3 miles

Take first Durham/UNH exit (sign reads "Durham/UNH & Route 155A)

At bottom of exit, turn right onto Main Street

Continue into Durham (approx. 1 mile) through UNH campus

At bottom of small hill, Main Street becomes one way with two lanes

Look for Jenkins Court on left; park on street or in public lots (see parking map below)

Evening Events and One Hour Parking

Durham has several public lots near the building which are available for ONE hour until 6pm, and for an unlimited time from 6pm to 1am.

Two Hours (and more) Daytime Parking

If you're coming for more than an hour during the daytime, use one of several options explained in the map below. Some spots take cash, some coin, and some credit card.

It's a quick 100 yard walk to our front door from all of these options.
