Idea Greenhouse supports Code Year and encourages all our members to learn some code. But why? Listen to these tech luminaries:
"Codecademy’s message — that knowing how to write computer code is becoming just as important as knowing how to read or write — could not have come at a better time." -GigaOm Blog, 1/23/2012
"A young man asked me for advice for 'those who aren't technical.' I said he should try to get technical." -Fred Wilson, Web Startups Angel Investor
I wish I'd thought of [this]...The need for computer literacy has never been greater." - Tim O'Reilly, Founder of O'Reilly Media
You can use the Code Year website to begin their weekly lessons. But what if you need help or inspiration?

Testing Your Online Marketing Design Intuition
Last Updated on Friday, November 25 2011 15:47
Join us for a special meeting of the NH Usability Professionals Association (NHUPA) to discuss:
Testing Your Online Marketing Design Intuition
Tuesday, December 13th
6:30pm Networking & Refreshments
7:00pm Program
More About the Program:
Many things can affect the effectiveness of a marketing or sales campaign - taglines, imagery, layout, aesthetics, tone, etc. all play a part in the persuasive experience. Teams may have a number of options for all of these elements, but deciding between them can be difficult.
Enter A/B testing. A/B testing is great way to settle disagreements on online design decisions. If your goal is to get more people to sign up, sell more, or convince more people to contact you, simply take two alternative designs, put both of them live, send a percentage of users to each option, and see which one does better. We have access to the results of over 25 real, online A/B tests – tests about conversions, e-commerce, social marketing, landing pages, etc .
For our December NH UPA meeting, we’ll share these results with you in an interactive and engaging session. We’ll setup the evening as a bit of a game show or contest. For each A/B test, we’ll first show you the two alternatives and let you vote on which one performed better.
After the vote, we’ll show you which version actually won. Keep track of your performance through the night and assess your skills at the end.
About NH Usability Professionals Association:

Learn more at the NHUPA website.
Register for the event on Tuesday, 12/13
