Testing Your Online Marketing Design Intuition

nhupalogoJoin us for a special meeting of the NH Usability Professionals Association (NHUPA) to discuss:

Testing Your Online Marketing Design Intuition

Tuesday, December 13th

6:30pm     Networking & Refreshments

7:00pm     Program

registerverysm

More About the Program:

Many things can affect the effectiveness of a marketing or sales campaign - taglines, imagery, layout, aesthetics, tone, etc. all play a part in the persuasive experience. Teams may have a number of options for all of these elements, but deciding between them can be difficult.

Enter A/B testing.  A/B testing is great way to settle disagreements on online design decisions. If your goal is to get more people to sign up, sell more, or convince more people to contact you, simply take two alternative designs, put both of them live, send a percentage of users to each option, and see which one does better. We have access to the results of over 25 real, online A/B tests – tests about conversions, e-commerce, social marketing, landing pages, etc .

For our December NH UPA meeting, we’ll share these results with you in an interactive and engaging session. We’ll setup the evening as a bit of a game show or contest. For each A/B test, we’ll first show you the two alternatives and let you vote on which one performed better.

After the vote, we’ll show you which version actually won. Keep track of your performance through the night and assess your skills at the end.

About NH Usability Professionals Association:

The New Hampshire Chapter of the Usability Professionals' Association (UPA) provides networking and professional development opportunities for usability professionals, information architects, interaction designers, and other user experience professionals and students in the Seacoast and Southern NH regions. Our mission is to foster the growth of the local usability community and to provide an environment for members to exchange information on tips, tools, methodologies, and technologies related to usability.

Learn more at the NHUPA website.

Register for the event on Tuesday, 12/13
